 Poor performance from the NHSOB forwards allowed Pill Harriers to boss this game from the start. NHSOB had no answer to Pill Harriers ‘Power-play’ rugby. They were beaten in every aspect of the game, although many of Pill’s scores were scored through the enterprise of their young backs as their forwards dominated the ‘close quarter’ phases of play.

On a plus side for the ‘Oldboys’ it was good to see a number of players returning from long term injury – Paul Hale at outside half and Nathan Fox-Smith in his customary No. 8 role, both coming through the match unscathed.

It will be back to the drawing board for the 2nds as they attempt to reach the standards set during last season’s successful campaign.
