An excellent all-round team performance - every player played with a great attitude using the new ELV's to the maximum. The forwards created a great platform for Neil Cammies (at No.9) to display his full range of attacking options. Cammies, along with Elliott Evans at outside half drove NHSOB into the heart of the Usk 22. An early try from Captain Pat Brunnock and a second from Luke Dempsey started the rout.. Usk defended their line heroically but could not stop the Oldboys from adding to their score. A sad point to the game was the loss of Evans, who was later reported to have broken his arm - this happened in an innocuous challege and a collision with one of his own players. After a difficult start to the season, the 'seconds' appear to be up and running. There was a standing ovation at the end of the game for ex-Ebbw Vale & Newport star Geraint Bowden returning to play after more than 5 years following a serious motorcycle accident. He took the ball on the half-way line and rounded his opposite number before handing off the fullback before scoring in the corner - what a finish.
