17/9/05 1ST XV 46 – Chepstow 7
Friday night saw us struggling with injuries in the 2nd Row, Chucky pulled out at the last minute with a groin strain and Gareth Hillier decided to go on Holiday without telling anyone!
The 1st XV and replacements were juggled around, Shagger, Elliot and Paul Hale stepping up from the 2nd team to play their first league games of the season. One of the major features of the game, was how well these guys played, showing the strength of the 2nd XV.Henry stepped into the breach for the holidaymaker, making his Old Boys league debut, and pushed Martin for the MOM award.
We scored some cracking tries, through backs and forwards, which was great to see, and our discipline was superb, only giving away 3 penalties in the game…see what having confidence in your defence can do!!

2nd XV lost to Pill 2nds
Depleted by injury and 1st team calls the 2nds still managed a good performance, the highlight being a 50m dash and score by MOM Batesy! Thanks Guys…we would not have beaten Chepstow without a strong 2nd XV!!
