Cwmbran started strongly and kept NHSOB pinned in their own half, but excellent NHSOB defence kept them at bay. NHSOBs aggressive defence on their own line forced a turnover and the ball was fed to Ethan Clayden who sprinted the length of the field for the opening score.
Cwmbran came back and an unforced error by NHSOB on their own line allowed Cwmbran to equal the scores. Although both sides played some excellent rugby, the scores remained the same at half time.
The second half continued in much the same vein with both sides playing some good rugby, but excellent defence kept the score the same. NHSOB then took the initiative when an excellent steal from Rhodri Chapman was fed to Peter Davies who sprinted in from distance to regain the lead for NHSOB.
Cwmbran soon brought the scores back level when another defensive error from NHSOB let them in.
Both sides continued to give their all and NHSOB looked like taking the lead after a powerful run from Josh Farmer, but the Cwmbran defence held out.
Cwmbran then came back into the game and one of their powerful runners looked like he would break through, but an outstanding tackle from the impressive Connor Louth brought the attack to an abrupt end.
As the ref signalled for the last touch of the game, the NHSOB Man of the match, Connor Louth broke down the touchline repelling a number of tackles only to be forced into touch just short of the line.
