Sunday, 15th March: NHSOB U9's welcomed their counterparts from Abergavenny RFC to Yew Tree Lane.
On a beautiful spring morning, Abergavenny U9's ended NHSOB's impressive run of results with an emphatic win in an entertaining match at Yew Tree Lane.
The visitor's immediately showed their intent when they scored almost directly from the kick-off, albeit due to some uncharachtaristically lack-lustre tackling from the Old Boys. In fact, poor defending from the home side was a feature of the entire game and prevented them from ever getting a foothold in the match.
Alexi Webb did score following a good rip in the tackle and then running through several weak challenges, but Abergavenny hit back with two more scores before the break to give themselves a comfortable 3 tries to 1 lead at half time.
After the break the sides exchanged tries early in the second period with Alexi Webb completing his hat-trick for NHSOB to make the score 3-4 to the visitors.

However, that was really the last hurrah for the home team as they continually turned ball over to Abergavenny and the visitor's full advantage to run in a further four tries.
The only real bright spots for the 'Old Boys' were Alexi Webb's hat-trick and Dylan Smith's (above) performance. Dylan was deservedly made NHSOB Man of the Match for his never-say-die attitude and leading by example with his tackling.
It was also great to see the return of Ben Holloway to NHSOB colours as he played his first game since being rushed to hospital before Christmas to have his appendix removed. Welcome back Ben!
Final Score: NHSOB 3 tries Abergavenny 8
NHSOB: Connor Bergstrom, Ciaran Mulcahy-Jones, Tomos Grant, Sam Taylor, Owen Bevan, Scott Bowden, Ben Holloway, Morgan May, Oliver Johnson, Dylan Smith, Alexi Webb, Jamie Brian
