Panteg attacked strongly and the Old Boys defence did not have the muscle to stop them going ahead again. NHSOB were looking to play their usual passing game and they were working through the phases excellently. Their supporting play and angled running was commendable and every time Panteg scored the Old Boys would pull the scores level. At ½ time the score was 5 all - with Liam McDonald & Dylan Pollock adding to Robinsons hat trick.
The 2nd half began just the same as the 1st, with Panteg running in a try straight from the kick off. The Old Boys went 7 - 5 down within a few minutes but their heads didn’t drop. They continued to pass the ball along the line and an excellent move started by Man of the Match Liam McDonald from deep in his own half led to a strong run by Oliver Andrew who offloaded to Dylan Pollock who got his 2nd of the game.
Panteg continued to trouble the Old Boys and ran in a try from the ½ way line with Tomos Brenan still attached to the tag. Panteg scored their 9th in the same way. What is usually a solid Old Boys defence could not find a way of tagging the Panteg players and that in the end is what led to the defeat.
The Old Boys hit back with 2 more tries from Liam McDonald but it wasn’t enough to stop them losing the game 8 - 9.
