NHSOB started off by a good early drive and try by Josh Wall. It was St Albans turn to equalize straight after with a well worked try down the left wing. A great effort by Charlie Wheeler Jones, which enabled Josh Wall to score a second try in the corner. NHSOB’s 3rd try was a well worked surging run down the wing by Ashley Gibson who seemed to be everywhere. But two more tries by St Albans at the end of the first half meant at this time it was three tries apiece. By this time the game was well contested by both teams.
The second half Ashley Gibson came out well from a lineout and was just stopped short of the line. At this point NHSOB was pressing the St Albans line. But St Albans turned things around again but was well stopped by Isaac Rowlands. But continuous pressure did result in St Albans 4th try. With minutes to go Robert Davies made a good run down the touch line but was tackled in the touch area near the line. More pressure by Newport forwards resulted in a try by Ethan Churchill. Another great good run by Robert Davies but tackled short of the line again. It ended with good all round play by both teams. Final score was a draw, 24-24.
